Message Boards - Official Rules of Conduct
So there are a few ubiquitous rules we need to post that you need to be follow. Unfortunately, anyone who can't follow these rules may be banned from joining the conversation here.
1. Offensive material is prohibited. Offensive is a pretty broad term, but we think you know what we mean. Vulgar language, images and other offensive material including, but not limited to, race, nudity or pornography is not tolerated here. The Forums Admin and Moderators shall be the sole judges of what does and what does not violate the boards standards here.
2. Personally identifying information is prohibited. We've promised to respect you and we need you to respect others. That means that we will remove any phone number, address or other personally identifying information posted if it violates someone's privacy, is harassing or could lead to harassment or is otherwise inappropriate. Also, any posting of your own phone number, address or any other personally identifying information is prohibited.
3. Respect fellow members. We will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks, or bashing. Do not flame, bother, bug, disrespect, hound or taunt ANYONE on the forums or through private messaging or chat room. Trolls/Trolling or Double posting are not allowed. If we feel a thread is getting out of hand we will close or delete it. You can and will lose your posting privileges if you continue this type of behavior.
4. Don't discuss any illegal activities. Illegal transactions/sites, selling of personal information (i.e. credit cards, e-mail addresses), pornography, etc are not allowed and will result in the deletion of the post and the revocation of your posting privileges.
5. No Selling or solicitation of ANYTHING in the general forum, by Private Message or in EMAIL is considered Spam and is not allowed. Anyone found posting excessive links to their websites, or suspected of "sneaky" advertising will be warned and will lose their posting privileges here.
6. No promotions of other related sites. There is no problem with occasionally using the name of other sites or even posting a link to a pertinent thread from another site, but repeatedly referring to other related sites is considered "SPAM" will not be allowed. Links to them in your signature, profile or posts, PM, etc. is ground for removal from signature, and repeated offenses are grounds for being banned.
7. Moderators and Administrators have the final word in anything and everything. If you have a problem or a complaint direct it to them, not to the general forums. They will then take the appropriate actions. This applies to issues with the forum in general, as well as issues with other members.
8. By using this site and its message boards, you signify your acceptance of these Message Board Rules of Conduct. If you do not agree to these rules, please do not use our web sites or message boards. We reserve the right to make changes to these rules. If we make a material change to them, we will notify you by posting the change on our web sites or in these rules and, if necessary, give you additional choices regarding such change. Please check back from time to time to ensure that you are aware of these changes. Your continued use of our sites will signify your acceptance of these changes.
Finally, because we can't think of everything offensive or inappropriate that may be said, we reserve the right to immediately delete any posting or ban any user at our sole discretion. --Gear 6
